The Year 7 students have encountered their first assessment task in Mathematics. The topic they have completed so far is statistics. Students learned different ways to represent data collected, including bar charts and pie charts.
In the assessment task, the students were asked to work in a group of three to collect data on teachers’ cars. Students had the chance to get out of the class and look at the staff car park. Students recorded the colour of cars that are parked there in a frequency table, identifying the most popular and least popular colour. They also studied how old the cars are. All the information is represented in different forms.
